Does anyone know how Holden got the extra 5kw out of the Alloytec for the VE range and how can we get that on the VZs?

Pajero LWB Wagon, Power/economy what's that ???
The V8 is 270kW up 10 but measured running premium unleaded, 263kW on standard so only a 3kW gain over the old model. Or did they use premium to obtain the 260kW as well? Torque must be up though as the car performs better. Maybe it's not only Ford that play games with the figures.

Not sure about the six though, could be paper power or could be a genuine increase. Has it's performance improved over the VZ? I know fuel consumption has.

It comes down to how a car puts its real power and torque to the ground whatever the figures may say.

Edit to clarify: I really don't know the performance figures for the VZ V6 (not trying to be smart)
Holden make general statements like "the exhaust has been redesigned to improve flow" but never detail the changes specifically.

IIRC, new chain guides & revised ECU map, too. The 195kw gets dual exhaust pipes.
