Ve r8 conversion to omega

Long story short. Wrote off the r8 (ve) slight damage mainly rear subframe etc..
I'm going to get a shell v6 and bolt everything over.
Is this a straight forward job ? Or is there anything I need to watch out for . I am in nz ve v8 shells arent easy to come by and very expensive .
I can do basically everything myself apart from wiring . Any help would be mint cheers

That's basically how HSV did it at the time but I'd say there's a good chance there was some work done other than just bolt on bits. You'd have to compare your R8 to a V6 shell to find
Out the extent of it. You might be lucky I guess.

Swap them over. It's all interchangeable. There are wiring guides on the net to change stuff like guage pods over etc. Long as its the same series.
