Hi guys,

My in car entertainment behaves inconsistently.

When i first picked it up last month the radio/bluetooth stream would switch off after the drivers side door was opened (after switching off the vehicle)

now the radio doesn't automatically turn off.

i have done some tests to see if it will automatically turn off after 5 or 10 minutes, but it hasn't turned off. I could be not waiting long enough.

anyone know about this?

thanks

Should switch off when the door opens. They have been known to be problematic.

There was a software update for early Series II to fix several issues. They still seem to have several glitches. Not sure about this particular issue, however. Maybe someone else on the forum can help further. If it persists and is under warranty I would take it back.

Searching through older posts it appears it may be the door switch.

I had this problem on my 07 Berlina. Definitely the drivers side door switch. The things can become defective, won't turn off auxiliary equipment like the radio etc which will eventually drain your battery over time.
It's easy to replace yourself if you know how to take the door trim off.
