Guys how restrictive are The factory cats? They look restrIctive just judging on how they are positioned? I have tri y pacies with stock cats thinking of going walkinshaw headers 4-1 with there high flow cats. Mainly because I get Them 2100 fitted with a retune. I want better sound bit more popping and more power.. is it worth it??

Cheers

Yes.. Going from factory to Hi-flow with a tune will make a difference.

Have you seen the size of after market cats?? Compare that to your stock ones....and you should have your answer :)

Is your car force fed or N/A, Wouldnt the gain be very small and only noticed on a dyno, I can understand if you are running a big cam or turbo/ charger where alot of gas is getting pushed through but Going from pacies to 4/1 and cats would be hardly worth the gain..

For the price you could put a cam in it (if you don't already have one)

Nothing stock is built for performance on these type of cars.

They are mass produced items that are there to cut costs and offer nothing performance wise in return.

Aftermarket is your answer.

Cheers.
