Will it really be that big a difference with the V8 springs? Have you done it before?
Yes. It will. The LS is a lot heavier than the Alloytec and the springs are made to take that into account. The front of your car will be elevated at the front because it doesn’t have the weight on the springs.

Have I done it before? No because it’s a ridiculous idea to do it for the reasons outlined

Thanks mate. How can you tell if the springs are no good? Theyre the original set so unsure if it'd be wise to transfer them onto a new strut.
Springs last a long time but 275 k is getting up there.
Depends what kind of life they've had as well. All smooth road or have you been driving through Victoria with @losh1971 ?

Has anyone had trouble with the springs on a high km VE?

If the springs are not leaning to one side then they are probably ok.

All springs have a 'finite' number of cycles built into them before they lose 'memory'.
Mostly depends on the metallurgy and heat treatment.
