VE Throttle Body : Warning Codes?

My 07 omega has come up with "check engine" twice over the last 6 months and its been the throttle. My holden leaks somewhere and gets wet all in the drivers floor and the fire wall etc would the water getting in make a glitch for the throttle ? I would have thought it would come up with check engine alot more often if it was broken? Has anyone elses done this...

i've holden caprice ss v8 2007 P2135
i cleaned throttle body then high idle RPM,
i relearned throttle body by Tech2 but still same high idle,
then reprogram ecm by SPS gm website on line but still high idle.
now no dtc, only high RPM at 1200rpm
can any one help me what can i do ?
