VE ute
Hi All,

Looking at putting new speakers in my VE ute with an amp. Questions are below;

What size are the speakers?
The sub ontop of the dash what size is it? And can it be changed?
Where can sub boxes be purchased for behind the seat of ute (12")?

Thanks

Firstly the speakers are 6 inch but you can fit 6.5 inch no dramas.

As for the sub ? If you mean the centre speaker above the headunit, disconnect it and pretend it never existed.

Buy a nice set of component speaker and replace the door speakers and the tweeters in the pillars. I highly recommend an amplifier as well, if you haven't already considered it.

There's a few on eBay. But they are about $150 to $200

Or most audio places can whip one up for you if you aren't confident to build it yourself. Just make sure the MDF is nice and thick. I did mine for my wagon in 16mm
