Ve ute tail light removal

no worries...i wish there were other lights for the ute but havent seen any and since the ute was not available in the US nobody has made like LED ones

that sucks even a subtle change to make the SS-V ones fit would be alright.

yeah i know but since the lights also fit the wagon the sedans are completely different

Having done this once it's a pain in the arse to get to the screws, all I did was used a socket filled with a little bit of blue tack and a extension piece to undo them and this helps not dropping them down where you can't get to them

yeah i didnt think of the blue tack idea .....just was careful when i removed them but now have a sedan and so much easier to work on

If you remove the three tie down points on the side you want to remove you can lift the whole tray liner up then away from the side of the tray to give you much better access.

You may also need to remove the screws on the floor at the back of the liner and the rubber seal.

Can do that, but most people don't have the star bits and sounds like to much hard work

Torx bits are cheap and its easier than trying to do it through the inspection panel.

The VE Ute tail lights do not fit a VE Sportswagon, they are different shape.
