For a full custom tune your looking around the $1000 mark.

Damn alot more than I thought. how long do they spend on the car?

Just a tune alone is roughly $1k. But you usually wouldn't just get a tune alone, go an OTR (maf or mafless) and an exhaust and you'll be set. VCM (Autotechnique) are excellent.

Yep, i like the process too, gets you involved from your end. I've just done some more data logging tonight to send through to him. This will be the 4th time now so he just fine tunes the car based on the data i send him. It's about as close to a custom tune as you can get.

Mafless you will need a tune. Maf you will not. Doing any other mods?

Most tuners will tell you to loose the maf but most will offer a maf tune regardless. More gains are to be had going mafless, depending on what else you plan to do, or have done, to the car.

Not looking at too many however a CAI is fair good bang for buck

Not by itself it isn't. Won't gain much unless you do exhaust and tune.

Ok, if you set aside $5000, you'll get an exhaust, otr, tune, headers and cats. That's a starting point, can spend more quite easily on what i've just mentioned if you like
