Dear Members,

Just putting it out there who maybe interested in purchasing a "VE Auto Transmission Dipstick"

"Jannetty Locking Dipstick for 6L80E and 6L90E Transmissions"

Great to keep an eye on the level, and especially the Colour of the Auto Fluid.
I seen one of the other members had a couple for sale, but both have been sold.

So I was thinking,
I could order a few from US, and get them shipped over for a shipping fee for a batch, not just for one, and share the shipping fee.

Do they have one for the 6L50?

I just checked and they don't list one,

But I will PM you the guys email, so you can shoot a email off to them and ask if they do.
Keeping in mind the time difference in Connecticut

More cars than I've got space to park!
The difficulty he has reinserting the dipstick in their tube is not exactly reassuring!

Also bear in mind that we have a brake booster on that side of the engine bay whereas they don't.

These transmissions were obviously designed to have a dipstick, so is there a GM part number for an OEM tube and dipstick?

After reading further to dip stick reinserting, I guess it would be difficult if it was dry when new.
I read if you place some auto oil on it, it will slide into the tube without resistance,
And possibly should not have a issue of the same in the future.
As for a OEM part, or part #, I have not found one as yet, hence the reason why I have searched O/S.

I think l emailed them a few years ago, after l installed the tranny. No they dont.

I'm thinking of making one out of two 4l60 dip sticks? Oh well l'll see how l go, when l eventually get around to it.
Its not due for another service for awhile. I've done about 7 thousand ks. I'll do the service at 30000 - 40000 ks?

Thankyou. Much appreciated.

I put one in my VF. They're a bit fiddly to fit but I think well worth it.

Not as yet,
I did send another email off this morning asking for some quotes, and given the time difference,
Just have to wait,
But he garenteed he will let me know,
I also asked for bulk purchase price.
I will let you know when he replies.
