VE06 Calais alert tone when turning left

My 06 Calais sounds an alert tone when cornering to the left (not the right though). Can't find or see anything that indicates what the tone is for. Any help much appreciated.

Had this happen to me but it was on the right side. I only noticed it also had reduced braking performance when cornering and I over-ran the corner a bit! Car was under warranty and dealer had to replace something in the front end/brakes. Get it fixed before you make a mess of it.

Check and see if the ABS/Traction control light/warning comes up, could be a rear ABS harness problem (they are notoriously temperamental)
