Ve2006ssv vs 2009 MY9.5

Hey guys my mate is looking for a VE ssv and is wondering if there is any differences between the 2006ssv and the 2009 MY9.5 ones

Not a lot as a whole, MY9.5 is a more like the current models in the detail, e.g. LS3 intake manifold, throttle body and water pump. If it's an auto then AFM operates better and the lifters are unlikely to fail.

There are quite a few other differences, the later model has silver steering wheel & dash trim instead of black, also will have reversing sensors and USB (wish mine had both of these). The earlier one will have the L98 270kw engine, the later one if auto will have L76 with AFM and 10kw less. The later one I believe will also have a better 'driver information display' above the stereo, as in better screen resolution, different display icons and scales, and oil temp as well as pressure, and volts. The older ones only have oil pressure and volts, and are more shitty looking (the atari gauge as it's known).

Mines a 9.5 SSV and doesnt have USB. I think only the Series 2 would have these.

Also I havent seen an earlier SSV with Black trims.

If its an auto 06 and 07 had the L98, 08 and 09 used the L76. If its a manual they used the L98 from 06 up until the series 2 in 2010. Mine is an 07 and I have the black steering wheel & dash trim which I like better than the silver, I just think it matches the black car better. As mentioned the 06/07 has the "atari gauge" which I also prefer.

Sorry yes USB is series 2 only with the IQ head unit. Definitely has the black dash & steering wheel trim, and gloss black shifter surround (for the auto) instead of silver.

I think the later model has upgraded auto too.
