Vf calais v seat memory

Hi guys
Just picked up this little beauty on Saturday.Everything is fine except I can't seem to program the seat memory.Follow instructions as per owners manual to no avail.Seems easy.Adjust seat to suit,check mirrors,press setup button then press and hold either 1,2 or 3 until a chime is heard,
.No chime and when I press and hold the number the seat starts moving to a position that seems to have either been entered by someone else or it is a factory preset.Anybody got any clues?

Did you just press the setup button or hold it? Usually you hold it and press a number until it chimes.

Tried both.Just pushed setup button then held a number down.Thats when the seat just started moving by itself.Then held setup button down and a number down at the same time.Nothing.No chime.No seat movement.

Only because the manual says to press setup button not hold it then within 5 seconds press the number button

Reckon I sorted Vongy.Tried what you said.Pushed setup and number at same time after doing adjustments.Seems to be working fine.After setup is done you just have to hold number button down until it is set.Cheers.
