my VF 2014 Commodore Evoke 3.0 Litre V6 Sports 6 Auto, has Auto problems, I'm looking to buy a replacement transmission from a wreck or whatever, a wrecker has a 2013 3.6 Litre Commodore LFX Engine 6 speed Auto transmission can anyone tell me if the 2013 3.6L 6speed Auto Transmission will operate as normal in my 2014 3.0L V6 Sports6 Commodore Evoke Sedan, Thanks

While I can't answer the question, I believe the gearboxes are different GM part-numbers, so if you don't get a knowledgeable answer it would be safest to assume it wouldn't work.

i think the tcm might have an issue with it and may require reprogramming.
if it was me i would find an exact replacement to save possible unknown issues.

Thanks for that, they're like hen's teeth but my current one that's starting to slip & clunk should last a bit longer until I find an exact match.

Have you tried simply servicing the transmission?

It could be low on fluid or the fluids tired, that can fix a large majority of shifting and transmission issues.

They aren't sealed for life or maintenance free as some would believe, it could end up being a $150-250 fix. My VE's 6 speed auto was like night and day after a full flush/service.
