VF console lid removal

Does anyone have instructions about replacing console lid/armrest in VF ?

Anyone done it ?

I bought leather one and need some guidance about replacing it

Not sure if its the same as a VE but I found its easier to undo the Philips head screws underneath the pad leaving the actual connected hinge plastic base part and just swap the tops if that makes sense

Stock one has 6 screws on the underside and leather one has got 8

Wonder if the leather one is off a VE with it having 8 screws......Do the 6 line up with 6 out of the 8 screws

The VE and VF2 console lids are basically the same apart from the VF2 having two ‘coin slot’ indentations at the rear.

Lid is not an issue, but it appears that the rear of the console/vents is different between ve and vf.
I did this on ve and it was easy. I am trying to work out how to remove rear vent surround trim piece

Done.....

Trim piece is only held in by 5 clips...

It pulls off with some force :)

Good work....ps What ya do with the original one, up for sale? Assuming its nit worn out but looking at your seats I'm guessing its perfect just not leather?
