Hey Fellas!

Does anyone make use of the park assist feature?
Not sure how to navigate it properly or whether it would be pointless to use in a manual transmission.

Also, would filling up consistently with special unleaded suffice, or is it advisable to only put in premium fuel?
Planning on keeping the car long term and looking after it as best I can.
Cheers!
Hope you're all enjoying a few cold ones 2day! :D

Everyone on earth makes use of park assist.
Use the fuel recommendation guide on the fuel flap.

I have a manual and have never used it.
But my car is not a daily and I probs would never leave it parked where I would need to use it.

We were shown how to use Park Assist by the dealer.
I’ve rarely needed it, which is good, ‘cos the couple of times I’ve tried I couldn’t get it to work. :)

Park assist is great for kerb rash when parallel parking. It guides by the outside of cars you are positioning between and therefore, depending how much narrower than yours and how close they are to the kerb, can scrape your lovely rims on concrete. Ask me how I know.

If it is a keeper, keep putting the recommended best fuel available in to prolong engine life.

I’m confused. Are we discussing the ‘park assist’ which is the beeping and the MyLink display the coloured bars indicating how close the car is to another object, or are we discussing the ‘advanced park assist’ capability where the car can do the steering manoeuvres for parking?

i am pretty sure they are talking about the "holden i dont know how to park so car do it for me feature" that was introduced for ford drivers making the switch to holden :p

I've always been too scared to use the auto parking feature thing in my manual ute. Never used it, probably never will. The parking sensors I use all the time.

I'd also put in what the fuel label says, I've only ever put BP ultimate 98 in mine.

I've "used" it twice to show the olds how my car can steer itself into a parking spot. Never actually used it or activated it again. Looks pretty cool though when the wheel starts spinning by itself.
