Holden service are indicating that tensioner failure is the culprit , causing the belt to slipSorry bloke,
I'm normally accused of unecessary waffle.
As Monstar alluded to, ~100k is scheduled replacement. I haven't checked the owner's manual, but that sounds correct to me.
I would be asking why it has worn prematurely. It may be a symptom of a poorly aligned or balanced harmonic balancer or other pulley / tensioner. Or, some other insidious detect.
Of course it may also be just a dodgy belt.
Can you see or hear any obviojs signs of wear?
I hope this helps.
Cheers
ever so slightly (for now) .
New tensioner and belt to be fitted next Tuesday as well as new tail lights and rear bumper clips.
Let's hope that is all she needs for a while.
