I have a blue motor with part engine number showing 11 -T72 xxxx do we think this is statesman..

Assuming it is actually 11QT72xxxx (with four numbers represented by x's) then it should be an early 1976 block, likely from a late-HJ Statesman, which should make it a Chev bolt pattern (TH400) block.

If you give us the cast date off the front of the block (between the inlet manifold and the timing cover), we could be more accurate?
