check the intermediate shaft, from memory the Power Steering one is shorter than the manual steering. As Sandman said, Kframes are the same with 460mm bolt spacing for rack.Hi all.... do I need to swap the K Frame to change a Manual steering rack to Power Steering in a VH?
Thanks
6 cylinder HKTG ones were easier with thin pumped up tyres, extra weight of V8 and bigger rim/tyres was harder when full locks at low speed.I had a HG with manual steering box. It was pretty easy to move the wheels. Certainly no work out.
Don't know if my VL had PS or not but my LX and HX didn't and they had 215s and I wouldn't say it was a work out. Manual steering rack is not same as PS when pump fails. Manual steering rack is a little more effort but it's certainly not too hard.
My hg (v8) was only a problem and really not that bad when parking. Wish I still had it.6 cylinder HKTG ones were easier with thin pumped up tyres, extra weight of V8 and bigger rim/tyres was harder when full locks at low speed.
