check the intermediate shaft, from memory the Power Steering one is shorter than the manual steering. As Sandman said, Kframes are the same with 460mm bolt spacing for rack.

Yep need p/steer intermediate with vb-vk p/steer rack...can also do vn-vs k frame with vl p/steer intermediate shaft with splined vl or vn p/steer rack.

Later model setup is better for clearance issues with v8 extractors for vn heads or ls conversions

manual steering gives you better clearances over power steering in any engine conversion, helps to build arms/shoulders up, less gym visits.

I had a HG with manual steering box. It was pretty easy to move the wheels. Certainly no work out.

6 cylinder HKTG ones were easier with thin pumped up tyres, extra weight of V8 and bigger rim/tyres was harder when full locks at low speed.

Don't know if my VL had PS or not but my LX and HX didn't and they had 215s and I wouldn't say it was a work out. Manual steering rack is not same as PS when pump fails. Manual steering rack is a little more effort but it's certainly not too hard.

Got a V8 valiant here, with 245/60X14 on 7" rims on the front with manual steer and it's lighter to steer than my VY....

My hg (v8) was only a problem and really not that bad when parking. Wish I still had it.
