VH Rev Counter

In my VH, the rev counter doesn't work, we checked the connections, put in a new coil, everything was sweet and dandy, until we turned the car on. It doesn't move until you turn the car off. Like, if I rev it to 7000rpm, then quickly click back the keys to ACC, the needle pikes up and starts to decend from the position it's supposed to be in. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone before and how they fixed it...

Maybe your power feed is coming from the wrong place.

Is there a power feed that only works on the accessory stage of ignition?

More then likely, cos the reverse lights work when the car's off, but not when it's on too.

Gimme a couple of days, I'll check it over again.
