I have 2 VH SLEs and it has always bugged that one had some segments missing from the clock display. There are not too many of these still available at the wreckers here in NZ. Finally managed to find one, so bought the clock display. Typical, it also has segments missing. So I decided to pull them apart and have a look. From what I can see they are a display unit only, with all of the processing done in the separate computer under the dash. The display is made up of four separate LED 7 segment displays that are soldered on the board and four buttons. I tried resoldering the pins, but that didn’t work and decided to make one out of the two units. It was a simple process to unsolder one of the working displays on the worst unit, and solder it on the other display. Now I have a fully working display in both cars. I had a look on the internet and it seems that individual LED 7 segment display units seem to still be available, the part number is FND367. If you are not confident to do the soldering, I’m sure a local electronics repairer will be able to do it for you. Hope the info helps.

Hi J-Man

Just took some more pics on the interior, some are a bit dark. Let me know if there are any specific shots you want.

The original carpets were multi-coloured, hopefully the pics show the different colours. Mine has stuffed front carpet and I have tried to get a replacement but can only find single colours and they don't match the door cards. I spoke to Knox carpets who have done a Brock carpet it is the correct colour, but it is only loop pile. He said he tried to do a run of the SLE carpet but it didn't turn out right.

Both cars are yours? Credit to you, and also on the clock. As an electronics technician, that's a tob job and I'm very fussy.
