- VL Commodore Turbo
I am cleaning up the heat shield on my VL turbo. It is in rough condition with rust and what looks like oxidation. So far I have been using a wire brush which is stripping it back to bare metal. Results are fair but could be better. My question concerns the best possible way to finish the job- continue polishing the bare metal or paint it in heat resistant paint. What have other guys done successfully?
