Vn 304 5 speed wagon ..

Curious if a vr v6 fuel pump will fit a 304 vn .. it surges on idle .. have replaced iac vavle throttle body senser map sensor and checked all vacuum hoses .. i havent done the fuel pump or fuel regulater .. any ideas .. also new has new head gasket and manifold gaskets . Dizzy cap .. leads n plugs n new injectors .. any help would be great .. and im getting a code 12 on self diagnostics . Cheerz

Have you tried the idle setting on the throttle body, the one that holds the throttle open just a whisker? It's not an idle speed setting of course because if you adjust it the IAC will move a few ticks further open or closed to compensate. But it might be too far one way or the other and the IAC doesn't like it? Also check the PCV valve isn't either blocked or stuck wide open.
