OTHER INFO:
For sale is my old daily. Its a 1989 Holden VN Berlina, V6 Auto.
It has done 219,000kms and is in great nick.
The only reason I sold this is because I got a deal I couldn't refuse on a VX. I got it registered in September last year, to replace my VR wagon I had as a daily. It was dead stock when I got it. I then went about cleaning it right up! Interior is clean as.
The roadworthy was done through a friend of my father's when i bought it, and I asked him to be very hard on it so I wouldn't have problems. It got to the point that he wouldn't pass it because he couldn't perfectly align the headlight beams, so i had to buy a new headlight assembly. The only thing I believe you would have to do is to put different rear springs in it to raise it higher (10 mins), and possibly look at the tyres on the 18's as they are a bit low, to pass roadworthy.
Things I've spent (that I can remember, probably more):
New windscreen $328
VN SS kit $500
Lowered front and rear springs (Pedders/Lovells) $250
New shock absorbers $280
New brake pads and fluid all round $120
New front wheel bearings $50
New upper rear suspension arms $120
New adjustable panhard rod (rear) $90
New swaybar links and bushes front and rear $100
Whiteline strut brace $100 S/H
Custom made intake manifold with over-the-radiator intake $250
2.5" cat back exhaust $220
2.5" high flow cat convertor $150
New Exide Heavy Duty Battery $150
New spark plugs, spark leads, coolant, thermostat & air filter $120
Serviced every 5000km since I've owned it
(Total around $2800)
18" rims were mine that I had before. Only things that aren't included is the stereo and the gauges (putting them into my VX).
Car gets mid 8L/100km on the freeway, and 13L/100km around the inner urban
Included is the standard intake setup (if you might need it).
Chasing $1500 ono (no reg/rwc), but throw reasonable offers my way if you think otherwise .
I can include:
VQ genuine 'duck lip' style rear spoiler for it (paint doesn't match exactly but doesn't look bad) if you grab the car for $1500
extra $100 for a full set of basically new 14" standard wheels and tyres (good for roadworthy/skids)
extra $100 for VN SS style spoiler with spare bootlid
Also have a set of 4 VN SS phoenix red doors you can have with it if you want.
pics are below:
Call/text me on the mobile if you want to have a look at it
Zero 433 95 Zero Zero 11
its not perfect but its a pretty good example of a VN.
Cheers
