hey mate, get a ziptie (or a few) dependsing on length, and wrapo it around the chassey side of the engine bay and the cable, now tighten it so that it opens when u want it to, thats the simple answer, adjust it tighter and tighter depending on whether it opens or not :)

gah anyone wants to come round tomorrow there will be $$$ in it for ya. the bonnet looks to be sitting too far down, as in touching the front bar where as normally a 5-7mm gap.

to open it, pull the lever in the driverside footwell, then push down really hard on the centre part of the bonnet at the front, if this dsnt work get sum1 to pull the lever while u push down :)

It sounds like you need to adjust your spring... You need two people to get it right.... Remove it, the wind it firm, and keep tightening it from there until you get the best opening. But first you gotta open the damn thing :p

if you can't get the bonnet open you'll need to unscrew the latch while it's shut. To do this grab a long flathead screwdriver and get underneath your front bumper. You should be able to look up to where the spring/catch comes down through the body (the circular hole with the wire latch in it). The end of the catch has a flathead grove in it, just unscrew it a couple of turns and try to open the bonnet as normal, if it still doesn't work you may need to completely unscrew it to get the bonnet open.
