hey everyone i am currently in progress of building my vn v6 burnout car and have been told several ways to go with the diff

so far i have been told
-welded 4.11's or 3.9's
-weld stock diff i thinks it 3.08
-minispool the stock diff

what are your thoughts

btw this car only cost me $250 so i dnt wanna do anything to extreme cheap secend hand parts will do fine as i am only going to "thrash it"

is the car manuel or auto?

if its manuel i would say just weld the stock diff

if its an auto i would look for some different diff gears

but in saying that you only weld the spider gears not the ring and pinion gears. so i would just weld it up and give it a go if its to sluggish find some new gears. easy

P.S if your really bad at welding i would invest in a mini spool.

Do it once do it properly.

The weld will last a couple of burnouts, 4.11 with a lokka is what you need :)

technically you want the numerically lowest gearset, because this will give the the highest wheel speed = smoke.

but numerically higher gearsets will let you spin it easier.

spool it... no questions about it.

Welding diffs is stupid. As its a V6, maybe go for some 3.45s or 3.7's to get it spinning a bit easier (lets face it, the 3800 isnt a torque monster).

The one time where a a spool is going to be of most bennifit and everyone suggest every other option... wtf.

aZk.

For a whopping 90 bucks go the mini spool. Will be predictable. Last thing you want is mid way through a flick and it going single or breaking.
