Afternoon,
Anyone know where I might find a guide to remove a vn dash?

Also needing info on replacing the odometer parts thatve worn down, cogs of some sort?

Cheers

The whole crash pad or just the cluster?

Some of my very earliest posts on here related to this. I don’t know if I had photos but I did have the dash out in the VP to replace the heater core. Circa 2005 or 2006 (in the olden days)

Whole unit essentially the entire front plastics area
This still is not clear.

Do you mean the instruments bit? Speedo etc? The plastic surround of the instruments? Or. Or do you mean the whole front of the inside of the car?

Whole front of the inside of the car, air vents, speedo, stereo surround etc the whole lot. Just not the steering wheel stuff

This is the biggest of big jobs. Up there with removing an engine.

Doing the job? Get your local mobile AC dude or dudette to degas AC. Be gentle with that wiper cover under the bonnet.

Buy AC TXV and gaskets. AC o-ring for the connection between outside and inside.

If you are removing all the dash, you bloody well better get in and remove the HVAC. Clean and replace the heater core and ac condenser. Get the whole lots clean. All the ducts and all the hvac box.

(Point being I don't need the steering mechanism)

I think you guys missed my point, I'm picking up a new dash to put in my ute the old ones sun damaged to **** and full of cracks/warping etc.
I'm not replacing the cluster, I don't have speedo or ac problems. (On this ute. my vp odometer as stopped working just wondering about repairing that while I'm on the topic)

It's just the one biggest piece of plastic over the whole dash area thats buggered so I'm swapping it out including the air vent leuvres etc purely cosmetic
