Hey guys i just purchased a 5ltr that was in a vn commodore. The engine is worked going to dump it in my vr commodore. My vr is 5speed t5 gearbox btw. I was just wondering will there be a issue on flywheel. Will my flywheel off the vr bolt up to the 5ltr off the vn? There both same prefix engine both are a VU prefix engine

Same crank in them all, so same bolt pattern.
I cannot think of why it would not suit.

Ohh ok because ive read on some places app theres a difference or is that on the v6 models??

They're the same bolt pattern, flywheel and crank from back in the early 70's - it'll fit.

The s1 V6's were the odd 6 bolt flywheel/crank that you'll be thinking of.

Ohhh ok sweet cheers mate because.what got.me.more confused was i changed my flywheel on the vr v8 to a lightened flywheel and when the new flywheel came the bolt holes were off by few mm's each than had to swap it over for right one thats why i was thinkingis thete diff types of flywheels for them

Interesting.
With the v6, isn't one weighted to help crank balance (and therefore offset holes so it can't be mounted wrong) and the other is neutral balance?
Can't say im a v6 expert though.
