VN VP VR manual ecu

Hi I recently bought a Toyota lexcen series 2 Buick “vn s2” and I’m putting it in my factory manual vr Ute , will a vr manual ecu work fine with it ?

Does the manual ecu suit Vn vp vr for all series 2 cars ?

I know the vr engine is a little different but series 2 are all the same aren’t they from vn to vp and vr

Does your VR engine have a cam sensor? VP and earlier didn't. Not sure if will be an issue if you're VR has one and it's no longer connected.

No my factory engine harness does not have a plug for a cam sensor so I’m guessing the factory engine in my Ute did not have a cam sensor

Yeah it might just be autos that had a cam sensor.
