VP Commodore Fuel Tank size

G'day gents,

Was the 80L tank standard on the V8 or was it an option?

(My V8 has a 63L tank yet all the V8s I see have the 80L tank)

Long range optioned tank I believe.

So 63L was standard with both engines?

Seems like my vehicle's original owner cheaped out.

think the 60- whatever liter tank is the standard one in all of them unless the long range tank is optioned. all the v6's ive owned have had the standard tank. no one has messed with your car? like swapped out the larger one with a standard tank before you bought it? it sometimes happens.

As far as I can tell nobody's messed with her. That said, I've only owned her since June 2013. The reason for my post is because all the V8s I seem to see have the 80L tank. To be honest, 63L is a bit too small for the V8.

All VPs should have a 80l tank if fitted with the V8 from factory. It was only the VN where it was an option.
Is mentioned in the Holden workshop books.

Yeah that's what I thought....

Mine was a factory fitted V8 which is why I asked the question.. it's perplexing...
