VP V8 Auto Gear Changes

Hi my auto shifts from 1st to 2nd at 4800rpm under hard acceleration.
Is that normal as I thought it should rev to at least 5500?
If I do manual change it goes to 5800 no problem.
Any ideas?

Adjust the tv cable on the throttlebody bracket.

Tried that just makes it shift harder.

Rev limiter set at 5400rpm.

They change lower so you don't hit rev cut.

4800rpmchange sounds ok as long as it's not slipping.

It'll stop making power after 4500 anyway if it's stock, so I'd leave it as is. Just make sure the tv cables adjusted correctly. If it's shifting harder, you've done it wrong. Plenty of info on the forum to show you how.

My stato was doing this too.
Somebody had played with the TV cable for "hectik chirpies into 2nd bro"
Reset the cable the correct way and all was right again.
