vr commodore manual conversion ecm conserns

hey, i have just brought a written off vr s pak manual to convert my vr berlina. i am conserned that my high series bem may not communicate with the low series ecm i will fit as part of the conversion. will all the trip computer continue to work or is there a patch harness available to overcome this? also will the ecm communicate with the unknown bem with out some form of scan tool or reprogramming? are they coded together?

My car has a L3 dash and is a manual and it doesnt need any mods for the trip computer part to work as far as the ecu is concerned.
The low and high series bcms have many differences and I'm not sure about its compatability with a manual ecu change.
