VR Statesman Issues.

Hi All,

Been a while since i have posted!

My brother has a VR Statesman (V8) and having some major issues with her.

I can't seem to get the diagnostic check going on the car with the paperclip, bridging 5 & 6, it does not flash at all.

Any ideas? Once i resolve this one, i will tell you the rest of the problems i am having with it.

Does the engine check light ignight when the ignition is turned on?

no mate not at all.

I am guessing something is not right, someone else said there was a plug near the ECU that u can bridge, either way i cannot get it going.

Maybe a blown bulb in the dash. Yes something is not right it should always come up so if it doesn’t first thing i would check to see if a fuse is blown and bulb..

It sounds like a blown globe to me also.

especially if the rest of the lights on the dash come up when the ignition is on..

does the thermo fan come on if you bridge 5 and 6 on the ALDL and turn the ignition to on??

Sounds like the bulb in the dash needs replacing.
