Vr trans

What is the best strongest trans i can straight drop into a vr? Will a 7hdd from a vs fit and be stronger or will it need mods, or is there a better one that will drop in? Cheers

All the commodore boxes (not including HSV) are about the same strength.
IMO A VR box is the best replacement gearbox.

any 4l60e trans will fit but using a newer vs/t etc trans will require some internal modification to work correctly and the vss plug will be different, internal strength is basically the same, as above best replacement is a vr trans

Strongest is a manual conversion.
