One other thing please, the reason i have my gear box out is it was leaking trans fluid. What reason do you know of for leaking trans fluid? I have just replaced the front seal.. Hopefully this fixes the problemmm. ?

that could be it, the also leak if they are, over full , the pan gasket isnt sealing or the rear seal, but if it was from the front then 9/10 the front seal let go

Hey guys, my vr v6 doesnt always start straight away, yet yes it is always turning over, just takes up to 3 - 4 seconds to kick into life. Now and then it will start straight away though. I have replaced the throttle position sensor, and the 2 sensors under the alternator also. Im yet to replace the O2 sensor, is this worth doing? Maybe the crank angle sensor to? Apparantly its a series 2 engine, cause it has the cam sensor ? to the left of the crank angle sensor?

Cheers Pete

all vrs are s2 engine's, does it blow black smoke when it kick's?, Check your fuel pressure regulator, mine done exactually what you said and it was using alot of fuel, Check your fault codes and see what comes up.

prob need a new front seal then, also perhaps next time start a new thread instead of hijacking a 3 year old one making us wonder what the hell is going on trying to read it.

The seal may not be in properly, that would be my first guess anyway
