VR V6 manual ecu

hey guys im wanting to change my vr v6 manual into a v8 does that mean i have to change the whole ecu to a vr v8 manual one or just the chip?

also, i have vn 5ltr engine sitting in my garage, and if i were to put that in my vr do i use a vn 5lt loom or would i have to use a vr one or are they the same?

You should be able to plug the VN engine and loom straight in and just convert the V6 memcal into a V8 one, the ecu remains the same
