Vr v8 starts then instantly stalls

hi I have a vr v8 5.0. can hear fuel pump prime car turns over and as soon as it starts it stalls. car doesn't have a charcoal canister but lines have been blocked. it also has a gilmer belt but other than that its completly stock. any ideas wtf is going on cheers in advance

Its probably getting a vacuum lock in the fuel tank if the breather lines and/or purge cannister lines are blocked off. .Try running the vehicle with the fuel cap left loose and see if it stalls then, if it doesnt, the charcoal (purge) cannister lines etc will need to be reconnected so the tank can breathe in air as the fuel is removed from it..

It was worth a shot. Have you checked for any logged error codes?

Sounds like an immobiliser issue. Logged error codes as suggested by Brett_jjj may give you a clue on what's happening.

Dropped over to Rabbits and we got it figured out this arvo....was the fuel pressure regulator, swapped straight away

Interesting. Looking back with hindsight, did you have any symptoms before it failed completely?

Fuel damper. Stops fuel line hammer - light knocking or tapping noise at idle speeds.
