Hi, I'm hoping for some input on the front wheels hubs.
What have you guys had luck with lately? As I need to replace mine for a w.o.f.

I find it hard to tell what hubs have decent bearings in them, because they're sealed.

Cheers

Last wet was repco branded, forgot to log when installed thou so I cant speak to longevity.

Cheap enough to replace every 5-10 years depending kms travelled. It's a shame as the factory ones lasted 200k-300k

Hi ephect,
I haven't checked, but do holden still supply genuine ones? Or will they be China made ones do you think.

What was the cost on your repco ones, I'll look up repco NZ and see there price.

Cheers

I hear you on the Holden ones.
I purchased a pair a few years ago, from aussie from ebay. They didn't even last 1 year.
So I got a 2nd hand genuine pair.

Hi guys,
I went to purchase a hub today, but it was the wrong one, it had an axle hole up the middle.

Are these things getting scarce?
What's it like in aussie for them to be supplied?

I just recently bought a pair from a vehicle that had just over 100,000k's on it and driven by a responsible owner till it got a whack in the bum which wouldn't affect them in any way. The OEM units have an indefinite lifespan on them if driven nicely.

I bought those at $12 each from UPI at Lonsdale just to put them away, Oh and yes they are ABS units as I already have a couple of non ABS units which can be used on either side, which the ABS units can't be.

Thanks vs-lover.
I don't really want to buy cheapies, as last time I done that, they lasted less than 1 year,
Edit: I mean for aftermarket.
I did replace them with some 2nd hand genuine ones.
Bit now I need to replace due to the w.o.f - a bit rumbley.

What are the thoughts on ebay ones $150 upwards each?

Do you have a bearing shop where you are? They have a rep to uphold so will likely sell you something better than eBay where this no warranty. Even though they say on eBay there is a warranty, the hoops you have to jump through for replacements means you're out of pocket anyway and then it becomes too hard.
