VS Berlina station wasgon
Hi guys, My first step into any forum, and this one looks great. When I set my Climatic Control to 20deg the the a/c compressor works but there is no cold air ( it has always done this). The previous owner (I have not had the car long) has spent respectable amounts of money at various specialist repairers with no joy. This is not a road I wish to travel. I am a qualified motor mech myself and before I start pulling things apart I need some info on the auto C/C system (wiring,FD's) and the vac system plumbing so I can check it all out, to make sure somebody hasn't missed something simple. I have tried everywhere, even begged the holden factory, to purchass an old manual, and recieved a nice reply informing me of the age of my car. All of the non gen manuals I have seen have nothing usefull on the C/C systems in them. This may be the reason nobody has been able fix it to date. Any info on the C/C system would be greatly appreciated.
cheers
Bob

I lost my forum virginity here as well and as yet I have not slept/posted around elsewhere. ;)

There's a guy on ebay that may be able to help you with a factory manual. Here's his ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com.au/Chriss-Auto-Books. I bought a couple of brand new VP factory manuals from him so I'll happily recommend him. He used to have a website with a comprehensive list of all the different factory manuals he had available (went all the way through to VT IIRC) but it's now defunct. He has never listed them all on ebay so don't let the small amount he currently has for sale put you off.

Also, search this site for posts by gsmrobinson, a retired aircon expert that primarily worked on commodores. He hasn't posted for a while but some of his old posts may help you out.
