vs calais lazy fuel gauge

hi, made a search couldnt find a thread..

my daily calais (ecotec) has a lazy fuel gauge, stays on empty for a while then when it feels like it thru the day bounces up to where it should be, annoying when the mrs had the car the day before and donno if ya gonna get stitched up haha, anybody know what causes this and if its a simple or complex fix? cheers - v8_lad

Lube the needle spindle point and check the rest pin is not sticking to the needle.
