hey all need to replace my rear speakers i was wondering can a 6.5" speaker be placed in the 6" gap without much modding and still have the original covers. my system is all alpine atm except the rears which were pioneer but have been hammered and its time to replace them i was thinking of getting some alpines or rockfords any one got a suggestion for me not many brands make decent 6" speakers anymore
hey mate the rear can have 6.5 fitted under the covers in yhe standard spots i had some pioneers in mine no problem
Generally yes, it can be done without any modification. But it might be worthwhile seeing if you can test fit one at the store prior to handing over the cash because some particular brands/models will require a little modification to sit down flush.
ahh awesome thank u for this thread haha bcoz i just bought some type R's 6.5 for the back and needed to know if they would fit without mods..
