VS ute trans dipstick popped out spraying oil all over rocker covers etc. Wondering what size the trans line breather hose is? Planning to replace if blocked up.

Doesnt the Breather pipe have like a small plastic filter on the top of it ?
Sort of looks like a check valve.

Some Breather pipes had a hook at the top so moister and/or water wouldn't run down in the trans

Probably 3/16 or 1/4" from memory.
Pull it off, check its not blocked, and then you have it in hand to match up if replacement is required.
Yeah thanks was just hoping to be able to buy hose during the day before having to jack it up & do the job. But thankyou.

Can always pull it off and blow it out with compressed air.

Agreed.
Or degreaser down the line to loosen it up. Then the garden hose on high pressure, and/or air.
With the hose off the transmission of course.

Was just in the garage measuring up something else and remembered I had a 4l60e sitting down the back somewhere.

Hopefully that helps someone.

Fairly sure 4.8mm equates to 3/16"
