Thanks guys, I found a 24mm which I brought some time ago for another task.

The biggest I have a is a 30mm, my socket set is rather bare from losing sockets over the years :(

Now I need to work out how you are meant to torque it back up...

most people take the inspection cover off and stop the flex plate turning with a screw driver or the like

The CAS brand is Delphi and it cost me around $38, it seems ok I did have a spare secondhand one here but I did not trust it.

What size bolts do I need to get to fit the harmonic balancer? as we have bunnings more or less across the road from Supercheap here.

1/4" UNF bolts to use with the puller. I went through this a few years ago. I bought the bolts from Repco.
Here is the thread I started. https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/code-46-47-a.98977

I just tried to remove it today and there does not even seem to be a thread for the bolts 1/4 UNF, they seem to just rip out of the hole.

Are they meant to go in straight or on an angle?

They go in straight. So you can get them in, but they rip out? How do they feel when you screw them in? Proper like? The bolts need to be about 80 to 100mm long. The hole they screw into is at the back of the harmonic balancer. They pass through a large hole at the front, and screw in at the back.

I got it now, the bolt I used before was wrong. even though it was meant to be 1/4 it turned out it was not UNF...

Can anyone tell me the bolt size for the CAS? I do not seem to have the right one :(

Testing my memory here, but I think you need a 10mm spanner for these. There is a plastic cover you need to wrestle off first.
