does any one know what the extra wire at the back that goes into the unit. its not the aerial its on the left hand side at the back. It is a Black thick wire with a grey wire and other little coloured wires in it. I dont know if its for the power aerial or incase it had a stacker from the factory. As i am installing a new cd player and dont know what to do with this wire.

Er, stacker yes....but that means the stacker is IN the car, unless it has been removed. Either that or it's steering wheel controls if you have them.
