VS III Wire loom/ecu issue.

Have a VS series 3 manual Ute. I have the original ecu but the wire loom was butchered at the ecu plugs.

Can I use a loom from a vp auto v8? Or can I use just the ecu plugs or something?

The vs ecu plugs are very damaged as it had an aftermarket ecu fitted.

Any help or ideas?

VS V8 Series III use VT PCM, therefore VT V8 5.0L should have similar loom. Just compair wiring diagrams first.

If only I could find somewhere with a diagram of the VS III loom!!!!! Seems impossible!

Has anyone got a series 3 VS that is willing to help with writing some numbers etc down?

this is proving to be near impossible. Even holden dealerships don't seem to be able to help...

if it's just the plugs as you say then you can them off a VT V8 or V6 then join them to the same spot on the loom.

But who is to say that they are not plugged differently? The red wire might be in C3 not C4 etc etc.....

VT V6 & V8 & VS V8 Series III run the same PCM, Same PCM loom connectors, same PCM Pin numbers.

But. The VS series 3 loom quite possibly has less wires than the VT series 1.... Would like to honestly see a VS series 3 V8 manual loom diagram before I wire it to a series 1 VT V8 manual diagram and damage the PCM or fry a loom.....
