hey guys, just a thought, is it possible to drop a vs v6 intake manifold onto my vn v6 block? it looks a nicer setup, and looks heaps easier to work with. do you reckon it would be worth doing? and how would i go with the front of the block, ie alternator, belts, etc if i want the cover on it aswell? just an idea.

No, sorry. Heads were changed on VS- and the valves are in a different order, hence the ports are too, regardless of any possible mismatch in geometry.

Wow! Holy thread revival batman!

From memory talking to hak, the cam lob spacing are different.

The heads do bolt on but then you still have the issue that the Ecotec engine uses a shorter deck height than the Buick so the manifold still won't fit and then you have to contend with the cam issue mentioned.

I have seen a picture somewhere of Ecotec heads on a Buick block and some of the push rods did seem to run at a bit of an angle. You would also need a custom cam to suit the different In./Ex. port arrangement.
