Vs live axle or irs for ls1 conversion

was just wondering what rear end live axle or irs , for people who have or are doing a ls1 conversion. Pros and cons ? Cheers

Depends on what you want to do with it. Street cruiser, IRS, Drag racing then take the live axle.

Biggest pro for IRS is that you can bolt an M80 housing straight from a Commo that actually had an LS1 in and get better centres.

Biggest con for live axle is that it's M78 which limits your diff choices severely.
