vs ss ecu problem??

Any tricks I should know when installing and new ecu? Such as holding 2000rpm for 30sec on start up?

No thats an urban myth just start the car let it idle till it warms up and the idle settles, then if auto put it into reverse let the idle settle,then drive idle settle..then repeat with the aircon on....
its not really necessary but its what I do

Most of the time you don't have to.
Sometimes it is required though, if you try to start it and it won't idle/conks out the first couple of tries after installing a new ecu/resetting it, then hold it at 2000 rpm.

VN/VP did need the engine revs held @ 2000rpm to reset the idle. By VS I believe it resets the idle at every engine start.

Hoping it's just the ecu and nothing else, been having manual v8 withdrawals from having to drive my gf's 4cyl Auto lol

VR v6/v8, VS v8 using 16183082, 16206305, 16176424 ecu/pcm's are like the vn/vp, still relies on resetting the iac by revving to 2000 rpm for 20/30 seconds.

So I got the new ecu and memcal I've been waiting for and plugged it in with battery disconnected of course, jumped it and she fired up! stoked

I hope people learn from my mistake
