vs starter motor?

hey all
the starter motor decided to give up in the vs ute and i got the replacement today but its different . i was told by the former owner the 5l transplant was from a vq as it was a 6cyl so thats the one i ordered.the original bosch unit has a small and a long bolt where as this one has 2 long bolts and the solanoid angle is diferent,they assured me it would fit and i just need to get a longer bolt? is that correct?

Cant see any problem with it fitting if you just get a longer bolt.. Considering i dont know the measurements of both then im not 100% certain but for like $2 for a longer bolt its worth a try to actually find out if it will fit..

that looks like a V6 starter.

whats the part number? don't just go blindly sticking it in without making sure it is the right starter.

You need a Bosch BXH136 or equivalent.

95% sure a bxs0106 is a v6 starter. will confirm tomorrow.

nup, BXS0106 is the aftermarket version of the Bosch BXH136. all good.
