Hi all, Im just finishing up a full dash/electrics conversion on my vr ute with vs statesman body loom, climate, power windows, mirrors and central locking etc
The problem im having is with the air con pressure switch on the receiver drier.
The switch in the vs loom has a 4 pin type switch whereas on the ute i have a 2 pin type switch.
I have tried to source a 4 pin type switch from many different sources (even Holden but they all tell me there is no difference between climate and non climate) with v8 powered vehicles. So im at a bit of a loss. I tried several wreckers who wreck calais and statesman v8 and they have all told me the vehicles they have are fitted with 2 pin type sensors. I stopped off at a car yard on the way home and found a vs statesman which had a 4 pin type switch but was v6 so maybe it is a 4 pin just for v6??
I also obtained a wiring diagram for climate control and found it to only show four pins and not two pin type.
So i am at a loss could anyone explain a way around this or explain their own set up ??
Thanks all
